I'm often inspired by the imagery of films I watch. The relation between the subject and the composed surroundings often create a deep and thought-provoking atmosphere; 'why is she sitting there', 'is she waiting for someone or did something just occur', 'who is she looking at', 'what is she trying to say with her expression'. Even if you'd take a snap shot of a scene from a movie you'd still feel the story, and all these questions arise. This is something I find unique to motion pictures; even though photography, in general, is basically about story telling, films have a different way of doing it. Can't really put my finger on what it is.

The reason I'm sharing this is because I found this picture that I love absolutely everything about. The lighting, the mood, the composition, and, of course, the story - and I love that the image doesn't say too much but it makes you wonder, and  leaves room to make your own story. It could just as well have been a snapshot from a film. Subtle and, at the same time, screamingly loud story telling. JOY!
